Privacy policy

About this policy

This privacy policy explains what happens to information when you visit the Derila Ergo Guide. We try to collect as little as possible. This is a static information website with no accounts, no forms that store your data and no shopping cart.

What we collect

If you email us, we receive your email address and the content of your message, and we use them only to reply and to improve the site. We do not sell this information.

Logs and analytics

Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time of the request, for security and to keep the site running. If we add analytics or search-console tools, we will update this policy and explain what they collect.

Measuring clicks on offer buttons

When enabled, this site records that an offer button was clicked: the page path, which button it was (for example header, top of page, sticky bar), whether the device looked like a phone or a computer, and the referring website name. We do not record your name, email address or IP address in that log, and this measurement does not set cookies of its own. If a standard analytics service is switched on instead, its own policy applies and we will name it here.

Cookies

See the cookie policy for details of what cookies may be set when you use this site.

Affiliate links and third parties

Links to the seller and to affiliate networks lead to other websites with their own privacy practices. When you click an affiliate link, the network or the seller may set cookies or collect data to track the referral and process an order. We do not control that and we do not receive your payment details. Please read their policies before you buy.

How we use information

  • To answer messages you send us.
  • To keep the site secure and working.
  • To understand which pages are useful, if we add analytics.

How long we keep information

We keep emails only as long as needed to answer them and to keep a record of corrections. Server logs are kept by the host for a limited time under its own policy.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold, to correct it or to ask us to delete it. Email us to make a request and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Children

This site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.

Legal bases and international visitors

Where privacy laws apply, we rely on our legitimate interest in running a secure information site, and on your consent when you email us. Visitors come from many countries, and the host's servers may be located in different places. If you are in a region with specific privacy rights, you can use them by contacting us.

Data we do not collect

  • We do not collect payment card details. Payments happen on the seller's checkout.
  • We do not run user accounts or collect passwords.
  • We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data, so please do not send it to us by email.
  • We do not use your information for automated decisions about you.

Sharing information

We do not sell personal information. We may share it with our hosting and email providers where needed to run the site, or where the law requires us to.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, contact us first. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Summary in plain language

  • We do not ask you to create an account.
  • We do not collect your payment details.
  • If you email us, we use your message only to reply.
  • Links to the seller lead to a different website with a different privacy policy.
  • You can ask us to delete anything you have sent us.

Email security

Email is not a fully secure channel. Avoid sending sensitive information, and remember that messages may pass through several providers on their way to us.

Retention and deletion requests

If you ask us to delete your messages, we will do so unless we need to keep them for a legal reason. We will tell you when we have done it or why we cannot.
